Nike Studios, a chain of Nike-branded boutique fitness studios, has stopped operating, former members and trainers have shared on social media
Nike Studios, the boutique fitness concept the footwear giant launched in 2023 alongside FitLab, has shuttered or suspended operations across all of its locations in Texas and California, according to widespread social media posts from members and trainers.
Former Nike Studios web addresses now redirect to Nike’s main website.
The Irvine, California, location — one of nearly a dozen across the two states— held its final classes March 27, according to a closure email the studio sent to members.Â
The email was then shared in Irvine’s Reddit community.
In the same thread, a commenter who identified themselves as a Nike Strength member in Austin, Texas, said they had also been notified their studio was closing.
The Culver City location, which had appeared active on social media in recent weeks, is listed as temporarily closed on Yelp and is now listed under the name Racked, a small-group strength training brand also operated by FitLab. The same applies to the Costa Mesa location, which is now listed under XPT, a performance wellness brand founded by Laird Hamilton and Gabby Reece that is also part of the FitLab portfolio.
A West Hollywood location is also listed as permanently closed on Yelp.
Athletech News reported the Nike Studios launch in August 2023. The deal saw Nike offering a network of boutique fitness studios, including Nike Training Studios and Nike Running Studios, in partnership with FitLab.
As of publication, Nike Studios remains listed on FitLab’s website as one of its brands.
FitLab didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
