In July 2023, the Sol Band from Gaza was in the midst of preparations for a performance at the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts in Jordan. One clip shows moments from a rehearsal: the band members on a beach in Gaza, surrounded by clear skies and a calm sea. Rahaf Shamaly sings “The Beautiful Girl” by Fairuz. Her voice blends with the beat of the drum and the sounds of the piano, the flute and the oud.
