Afroman is back in the conversation after emerging victorious in a civil lawsuit filed by Ohio’s Adams County Sheriff’s Department. To capitalize on the resurgent interest in his music, the “Because I Got High” rapper has announced a new album, Freedom of Speech, which is (of course) dropping on April 20th.
Freedom of Speech currently spans 15 tracks, including the previously released title track and “Licc’em Low Lisa,” as well as his recent celebratory singles “Batteram Hymn of the Police Whistleblower,” “Brian Newland Is a Flag,” and “Randy Walters Is a Son of a Bitch.”
Staying on theme, the tracks target the sheriff’s deputies who raided his home and then sued him over using home security footage in music videos, as well as prosecutor David Kelly. The album could also feature the bonus tracks “Judge Jackass Jonathan Help the Pedophile Police Hein” and “Rip Off Statutory R?pe Robert Kicc It Outta Kourt If Your a Kop Klinger” if Afroman manages to “get them done before the deadline.”
