Offset was shot near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, a representative for the rapper confirmed to Rolling Stone.
āWe can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care,ā said the spokesperson. āHe is stable and being closely monitored.ā
In a statement to Rolling Stone, the Seminole Police Department said that they āare aware of an incident that occurred at a valet areaĀ after 7 p.m. Mondayā outside of the Florida casino that āresulted in non-life threatening injuries to an individualĀ whoĀ wasĀ transported to Memorial Regional HospitalĀ in Hollywood.ā The department said that police were āon site immediately and the situation was containedĀ quickly.ā Two individuals have been detained and theĀ investigation is ongoing.
The incident comes more than three years after Takeoff, a member of the rap trio, died at the age of 28 on Nov. 1, 2022, after he was shot in Houston. Following his death, Offset shared a tribute to his bandmate and cousin. āThe pain you have left me with is unbearable,ā Offset wrote. āMy heart is shattered and I have so many things to say, but I canāt find the words. Iāve been going to sleep and waking up hoping that all of this is a dream, but itās reality, and reality feels like a nightmare.āĀ
On the one one-year anniversary of theĀ MigosĀ rapperāsĀ tragic death, Offset and Quavo remembered Takeoffās legacy. āThe times we spent is priceless what we built in this game they never wanted to give us our flowers we influenced the world,ā Offset wrote in a social media post at the time. āI Love you Take you still here with us I just know you are!!!! Migo 4Life!!!!!!ā
