That is, in essence, the pitch behind Skeletons, an app created by the gonzo sociologists of Rogue Psychology, the Cracked-distributed comedy-science docuseries that seeks to tackle modern psychological problems with hilariously modern solutions.
Under creator/director Ethan Matthew, Rogue Psychology recently attempted to solve one of the most enraging psychological traps of our current era: online dating. Apps like Tinder, Bumble and Hinge incentivize users to present a white-washed, curated and impossibly attractive version of themselves to potential matches, but the artifice inevitably crumbles upon inspection and interaction, leading to unmet expectations and allegations of catfishing.
So, instead of presenting an idealized and utterly impossible version of ourselves only for would-be partners to immediately uncover the ugly truth, why not put our worst foot forward and go into every new relationship with nothing to hide?
