To recap, Garmin introduced the D2 Air X10 over three years ago with the underpinnings of the Venu 2 Plus. However, the company elected against refreshing the D2 Air series with a Venu 3-based model. Nonetheless, Garmin Rumors alleges that Garmin will return to the Venu 4 series for its next D2 Air.

Reportedly, Garmin will soon replace the D2 Air X10 with the D2 Air X15. While Garmin Rumors has not obtained a specific release date yet, it believes that the D2 Air X15 will arrive this autumn. Currently, the D2 Air X15 is anticipated to retain D2 Air X10 features like access to a worldwide airport database and wireless flight plans transfer from Garmin Pilot.

Moreover, the D2 Air X15 should gain the changes between the Venu 3 and Venu 4, full details of which we have covered separately. At this point, it remains to be seen when Garmin will officially unveil the D2 Mach 2, whose existence was revealed earlier this year.
