Developed and published by Spellgarden Games, known for Sticky Business and Ritual of Raven, Thrifty Business is an upcoming colourful and laid-back management sim! Players will open up boxes to find all sorts of used items to display in their shop to sell, from antiques and toys to clothing.

In the Steam post, the team goes over some changes they’ve made to the title from the feedback and suggestions received from the demo (which is still available, if you’d like to try out the game!). Many of these are accessibility-based, such as the ability to toggle pixelated font off, as well as moving text, which was causing motion sickness.

Another accessibility change they’ve made is a slider that can dial down colour saturation! This is due to players commenting that it could cause eye strain or headaches.

Spellgarden Games mentioned that the most requested feature by far had been shopkeeper customisation, which they’ve now implemented! This means players can look forward to changing up their character to fit their style, including even their height!

Last but not least, a recycle bin has been added so that players may curate what they sell in their shop even more. Now, whenever they receive an item they’re not interested in selling, they can get rid of it and receive 10% price back for it!

We at GameGrin highly appreciate any effort to make games accessible for everyone, so we’re happy to see such effort being made!

Try out the demo if you’re interested, as Thrifty Business is set to release soon, on the 18th of May! Watch the release date announcement trailer for a close look at the game.
