Michaela Coel is keeping busy! Over the last several days, the actor has been promoting her two forthcoming films, The Christophers—in which she plays an art forger—and Mother Mary—in which she stars as a fashion designer opposite Anne Hathaway’s titular popstar.

Coel seems to be latching onto her characters’ proclivities for art and fashion, bucking bland press tour style for looks from buzzy designers big and small.

Styled by Nell Kalonji, Coel kicked things off on April 9 in a deconstructed Ferragamo skirt suit, where the undone buttons created artful drapery. She kept that energy the following day in Courrèges, pairing a pair of knee-length shorts with a draped, asymmetrical T-shirt.

Later on, Coel opted for a full Loewe look—a sky blue and kelly green tank top and black leather logo pants with a structured black coat.

Coel followed the Loewe with another American designer causing a stir in Europe, Michael Rider. She played with proportion in a militaristic jacket; its cinched waist balanced its exaggerated shoulders. Later on, she embraced one of New York’s up-and-comers, Colleen Allen, doubling up on velvet in a draped tomato top and violet trousers from fall 2026.
