This has been a good year for burying the hatchet. Selena Gomez was spotted in a suite at the opening night of Demi Lovato’s It’s Not That Deep tour spot in Orlando, Florida. “I am in tears. This was hands down one of the best shows. Oh and the VOCALS? Psh *blown away*,” Gomez wrote on Instagram Stories shortly after the concert ended. There must be something astrologically happening in the year 2026. If it means we get a Big Three Disney Channel reunion with Gomez, Lovato, and Miley Cyrus, we aren’t mad at it.
The former Disney Channel stars have been friends since they were kids on Barney, but like most lifelong friendships, they have had some rocky times. As both women became more famous, tension grew in their friendship, such as when Lovato was seemingly jealous of Gomez’s relationship with Taylor Swift. “Ask Taylor!” Lovato shouted when someone asked how Gomez was doing in 2010. Lovato even maintained that the two weren’t friends in 2020, but she would “always have love for her.” Something must’ve changed, as in March 2026, Lovato told Keke Palmer that she was “grateful for the friendship that I have and continue to have with her.”
At the Golden Globes, Gomez took her first photo with Cyrus in years, and she even stopped by during the Hannah Montana reunion last month. Now, Gomez shared a cute selfie with her and Lovato giving each other a hug. The world is healing, and of course, it’s because of the singers of Disney Channel’s Friends for Change. Send it on!
