Ryan Reynolds has heaped praise on his wife Blake Lively over how she is dealing with her court battle against Justin Baldoni behind the scenes.
Lively, 38, filed lawsuit against her costar and director, 42, in December 2024 following their work on 2024 movie It Ends With Us, alleging sexual harassment, breach of contract and retaliation among other claims. (He has denied all the claims.)
Speaking on the Today show’s Sunday Sitdown Live with Willie Geist, on Sunday, April 19, Reynolds gushed over how the Gossip Girl alum is coping with the legal battle.
“You really see the illusion behind so much of this stuff, digital life versus real life,” the Deadpool star, 49, said. “Really, without getting into too much, I have never in my life been more proud of my wife. People have no idea what is really going on.”
“I’ve never been more proud of someone in my life, with that level of integrity that they bring with them in everything they do,” he added.

As Star recently reported, a judge dismissed 10 of the 13 claims made by the actress against the Jane the Virgin alum, including allegations of sexual harassment.
Despite that, three of Lively’s claims, including breach of contract and retaliation, are still on the table and a trial date has been set for May 18.
“I will never stop doing my part in fighting to expose the systems and people who seek to harm, shame, silence and retaliate against victims,” the A Simple Favor star vowed in a Monday, April 6 Instagram post.
Even if she wanted to stop fighting, “which she doesn’t,” a source told Star, “Ryan wouldn’t hear of it. This is a matter of principle for him. He’s furious that his wife was mistreated and he’s not going to let it stand.”
The If actor is “doing everything he can” to help keep his wife’s spirits up, the source added. “He’s constantly reassuring her this is just one setback and not the end of the road because there are still parts of the case moving forward and a lot that has yet to play out.”
