Brace yourselves for back-to-back Annie Hathaway. If you’re desperate to return to the halls of Runway, maybe Hathaway playing a Taylor Swift–esque (or is she more Lady Gaga?) pop star will tide you over with Mother Mary. Then there’s also another film out about the late IRL pop star Michael Jackson, but let’s see what other movies and television are playing this weekend.

Before Anne Hathaway steps back into the Chanel boots, she’s stepping into pop superstardom. Director David Lowery’s film is inspired by Taylor Swift, with Hathaway’s pop star looking to reconnect with her former friend and creative partner (Michaela Coel) ahead of her most important concert yet. Plus Taylor Swift collaborator Jack Antonoff, Charli XCX, and FKA Twigs worked on the music that Hathaway performs.

Richard Gadd’s Baby Reindeer was an inescapable phenomenon, a Russian-doll-like unfurling of narrative and character that captured how trauma trails us through all phases of our lives. His next show follows two men, Niall (Jamie Bell) and Ruben (Gadd), who grew up like brothers and reconnect after Ruben’s release from prison. Also, Gadd got really jacked, if that’s something you’re into. —Roxana Hadadi
Zach Galifianakis is going from ferns to gardens. In this short and sweet series, he tackles different gardening-related topics as each episode’s host. Galifianakis still deploys some of his deadpan affect, but this time with younger children as he shows them the ropes.
➽ For a less wholesome Saturday night: The White House Correspondents’ Dinner is on CSPAN.
It’s Charlize Theron versus Taron Egerton, literally. In her latest Netflix action effort, Theron plays a woman who sets off on a trip to Australia to soothe her grief but unwittingly crosses paths with Egerton’s unnerving hunter, who forces her into a game of cat and mouse.
➽ It fortunately feels more like a real movie than most released by Netflix.
Running Point has a killer cast. Where else would Kate Hudson and Drew Tarver (a.k.a. Carey Dubek) play siblings? While Hudson’s Isla Gordon tries to maintain her spot as L.A. Waves president, alongside Brenda Song (another fun casting choice), the most inspired role of this season might be the Lisa Rinna cameo.
If you’ve enjoyed Nikki Glaser at the Golden Globes, you’ll probably dig her new special. Unfortunately, Leonardo DiCaprio and his love for pasta will not be in the crowd. We think.
You thought Netflix was done with Stranger Things? The first spinoff from the hugely popular IP is an animated series set between seasons two and three. Odessa A’zion voices Nikki Baxter, a new kid who befriends our core group of Hawkins kids.
“Timothée Chalamet’s Best Actor loss to Michael B. Jordan was the final step in what turned out to be a head-spinning rise and fall for the 30-year-old actor over the course of this awards season.” —Nate Jones on the actor’s Ping-Pong roller coaster of a campaign
➽ Plus Yorgos Lanthimos’s Oscar-nominated Bugonia is now on Netflix after some time on Peacock.
