I’d argue that being vegan is a privilege due to the fact that having choice over what food you consume is a privilege in itself. It also requires sufficient nutritional education to adopt a plant-based diet sustainably and healthily. However, when it comes to costs, studies have shown that plant-based, whole-food diets can be much cheaper than meat-based diets.
