Here are Wednesday’s latest updates:
■ Israeli defense officials confirmed that Israeli forces took control of vessels participating in a Gaza-bound flotilla, following reports from organizers that Israeli forces on speedboats had approached their ships and aimed weapons at them.
■ Israel’s Foreign Ministry released a video of what it described as “approximately 175 activists from more than 20 boats of the condom flotilla … enjoying themselves aboard Israeli vessels.”
■ The IDF announced that it began striking Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.
■ Fire and rescue services reported that following a Hezbollah drone intrusion in northern Israel’s Moshav Shomera, a car caught fire; no injuries have been reported.
■ The IDF announced that the military prosecution filed an indictment against a major-ranking officer for smuggling goods into the Gaza Strip and bringing in an Israeli civilian for purposes other than operational purposes.
■ U.S. CENTCOM presented plans for renewed military action against Iran to U.S. President Trump on Thursday, a U.S. official and a source with knowledge of the meeting told Axios.
■ U.K. Security Minister Dan Jarvis on Thursday said the government would bring forward an additional 25 million pounds ($33.65 million) of funding to protect the Jewish community, after two Jewish men were stabbed in north London on Wednesday.
■ Ukraine welcomed the announcement that a vessel carrying grain from Ukraine’s occupied territories will not unload cargo in Israel.
