Nicole Kidman attended the 2026 Met Gala in not one, but two separate looks.
Both were designed by Chanel’s current Artistic Director, Matthieu Blazy.
Kidman’s second dress featured sheer lace panels.
After walking the red carpet in an elegant sequined, feather-trimmed gown, Nicole Kidman slipped into something a little more comfortable to take the stage with her fellow Met Gala co-chairs, Venus Williams and Beyoncé on May 4.
Kidman kept the warm color palette going, swapping her long-sleeved scarlet dress for a pink floral design from Chanel’s Fall 2026 collection. The lace-trimmed frock comes with three-dimensional floral appliqués, which were woven into the fabric of her skirt (sequins) and straps (feathers). Featuring a pastel satin panel, Kidman layered it over a tiny white bra and hot pink high-waisted briefs.

Hours earlier, the Babygirl star waltzed across the red carpet in another Matthieu Blazy-for-Chanel creation: her custom sequined gown came with a dramatic train.
Kidman accented her look with an archival Omega timepiece adorned with 224 diamonds: 34 on the bezel, 178 on the bracelet, and 12 as hour markers.
The actress wore her waist-length blonde mane straightened with a full set of fringe, while her minimal glam included faint rosy cheeks and a nude lip.

Kidman made a rule-breaking appearance with her 17-year-old daughter Sunday Rose. Vogue previously implemented an age restriction for fashion’s biggest night, confirming in 2018 that it was “not an appropriate event for people under 18,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Kidman also shares a younger daughter named Faith Margaret, 15, with her ex-husband Keith Urban. The couple of over two decades parted ways in 2025.

Staged by the Met’s Costume Institute, this year’s “Costume Art” exhibit juxtaposes pieces from the museum’s extensive fashion archives with various artworks in its collection. Nearly 400 pieces will be displayed in a new gallery spanning 12,000 square feet, according to the Met’s press release.
