Zara Larsson won’t let a wardrobe malfunction stop her from shining onstage. On May 8, the Swedish singer performed live on NBC’s Today, revealing that her crystal-encrusted stiletto broke in the middle of her set.
“We gotta dance extra hard because I lost my heel,” Larsson said before jumping into “Lush Life.”

She managed to get through the entire performance on her tiptoes, with Today anchor Sheinelle Jones joining Larsson to dance to her viral choreography. Her setlist also included her latest hits like “Midnight Sun” and “Stateside,” Larsson’s collaboration with PinkPantheress.
The Grammy-nominated artist paired her dazzling pumps with a bedazzled bra top created by London-based designer Rohit Mane. Her matching miniskirt, crafted by Sorcha O’Raghallaigh, was decorated with yellow sequins and featured beaded fringe, along with a pink seahorse appliqué.

Speaking to Vogue last month, Larsson described herself as “the Mariah Carey of summer:” she’s frequently drawn to bright colors and seasonal motifs such as hibiscus blossoms, sea creatures, and palm tress, which appear not only in her wardrobe, but in many of her visuals.
“The playfulness of summer is so authentic to me, and I’m glad people are connecting with it,” she said.

Fittingly, the 28-year-old is also working on her own swimwear line. Main Rose officially launches in the United States later this month.
“It just made 100 percent sense,” Larsson explained. “Summer at this point is a part of my personality and my brand—and swimwear is the ultimate summer staple.”
“We had a fun time with the colors and patterns,” she added. “I want people to feel really sexy—something they can wear to feel free, jump in the ocean, and have fun.”
