Literary organisation Stella has announced the evening program for its Stella Day Out event in Aireys Inlet, Victoria, to take place on 15 November 2025 at the Aireys Inlet Community Centre.
The first session will feature Stella Prize shortlisted author Katherine Brabon, discussing her most recent novel Cure (Ultimo, 2025) and ‘the complexities of illness, identity and the mother-daughter bond’ with author Angela Savage.
Following this conversation, the second session will feature author and former GP Jacinta Halloran discussing her new book, Resistance (Text, 2023), and ‘what it means to care – personally and politically’ with author Inala Cooper.
Stella Day Out is a free one-day literary festival that ‘celebrates and promotes the outstanding contributions of women and non-binary writers to Australian literature’.
The organisation has also recently run events in Warrnambool, Adelaide, Sydney, Darwin, Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra and Hobart. Future events are planned in Perth and Ballarat. Programs are released individually.
More information about the upcoming Aireys Inlet event is available on the Stella website.
