Jamie Foxx is happy about becoming a dad again, a source tells In Touch, but he’s daunted at the prospect of changing diapers at his age.

On Tuesday, May 12, TMZ reported that the Oscar-winning actor, 58, is expecting his third child — and first with girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp.

“Adding another baby into the mix when he’s not far off 60 is going to be asking a lot and deep down he knows that, so of course it’s a concern,” the source says of Foxx, who shares daughter Corinne, 32, with ex Connie Kline and daughter Anelise, 17, with ex Kristin Grannis.

“The easiest way of handling this would be to pass the lion’s share of parenting duty to Alyce but that’s not Jamie’s style,” says the source. “He intends to be a hands-on dad and is confident it won’t be a problem.”

Those close to Foxx have their worries though, In Touch‘s source reveals.

In 2023, the Django Unchained star suffered a brain bleed that led to a stroke while filming Netflix’s Back in Action in Atlanta. After undergoing emergency surgery, he was transferred to a rehabilitation center in Chicago, where he learned to walk again.

“Jamie thanks God every day for getting him through that crisis he endured,” says the source. “He’s done incredibly well to bounce back, both physically and mentally, but it’s taken a lot of adjustment to his lifestyle and he operates at a far gentler pace these days.”

Adds the source: “The last thing he needs is to be pushing himself too hard and putting his health at risk, even if it’s for his own flesh and blood.”
