Sheryl Crow’s comments about her ex Lance Armstrong moving on with a “really famous actress” have upset Kate Hudson.
According to a new report from Rob Shuter, Crow’s recent comments have left the Sing Sung Blue actress “beyond frustrated.”
“She had absolutely nothing to do with the breakup between Sheryl and Lance. None,” Shuter reported in his Naughty But Nice Substack on Friday, May 22.
Crow, 64, recently commented on her 2006 split from the professional cyclist, 54.
“We split. In the same week that we split, I got diagnosed with breast cancer, and I found out he was seeing a really famous actress,” she told Bobby Bones on Monday’s Bobbycast, adding she went through “about nine months of radiation and grieving and anger.”
Internet theories quickly began pointing to Hudson, 47. However, the How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days actress and Armstrong did not start dating until 2008.

“The facts are very clear, but once social media locks onto a storyline, people stop caring about timelines,” the source told Shuter. “Kate feels dragged into someone else’s heartbreak for no reason.”
Hudson finds the rumors to be “absurd,” the insider added. “But she also understands people love turning women into villains in messy celebrity love stories.”
While Hudson and Armstrong were hot and heavy throughout the summer of 2008 — after first being spotted together in Austin, Texas, that May — their relationship was short-lived. They had called it quits by July 2008.
“Kate wants one thing made crystal clear, she was not the woman Sheryl was talking about,” Shuter’s source claimed.
