Galaxy S26 Ultra camera suppliers confirmed

Since the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Samsung has equipped its top-tier flagships with a 50MP 5x zoom camera. The upcoming S26 Ultra will likely keep the same unit, but with more vendors in the mix. The company has signed MCNEX as the third supplier for this 50MP camera, alongside the two existing ones, Samsung Electro-Mechanics and Sunny Optical.

According to the Korean media, Samsung expects this diversification to help improve the image quality and achieve a stable production. Interestingly, the company no longer plans to source the 3x zoom camera from MCNEX. Power Logics replaces it, while Patron remains the other supplier. The 200MP primary camera will be fully made in-house by Samsung. Here’s the complete supplier lineup for the Galaxy S26 Ultra cameras:

200MP main – Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Samsung
50MP ultrawide – Sunny Optical, Patron
10MP 3x zoom – Power Logics, Patron
50MP 5x zoom – Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Sunny Optical, MCNEX
12MP front – Namuga, MCNEX

Camera module production will reportedly start in November 2025, with phone mass production kicking off shortly afterward. Samsung usually produces around 35 million Galaxy S devices annually, and half of that volume is expected to be Ultras. The Galaxy S26 series will debut in January or February next year, with the Ultra accompanied by the S26 Edge and S26 Pro. Expect more leaks in the coming days.
