vivo has confirmed that it will unveil the mid-range Y500 Pro later this year. The company recently launched the vivo Y500 in China with a massive 8,200 mAh battery.
The upcoming Y500 Pro will offer an upgrade over the standard variant in terms of camera performance. vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao has revealed that the upcoming mid-range phone will feature a 200MP rear camera.

According to Boxiao, the vivo Y500 Pro will use Samsung’s ISOCELL HP5 200MP sensor that has a 1/1.56-inch size and an f/1.88 aperture lens.
It will be the first Y series phone to offer a 200MP rear camera. The handset will be announced by the end of this year.
Notably, the standard vivo Y500 features a 50MP primary rear camera paired with a 2MP depth sensor. It is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC and runs OriginOS 5. The phone offers an IP69 rating and 6.77-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate.
