OpenAI co-founder Sam Altman says Australia can be a world leader in data centres, calling out the country’s abundance of clean energy resources and stable society, while claiming that giant technology groups have almost reached the landmark level of artificial general intelligence.
“It would be in the very top few places in the world in terms of what’s possible there,” said Altman, who was being interviewed via video from the US at an AI conference held by CBA in front of 800 clients in Sydney.
