Comedy Central’s “Best F**king News Team” is back to work today with the first in a week of new episodes.
Jon Stewart will kick things off tonight, with The Daily Show‘s Monday night host set to sit down with Harvard historian Jill Lepore.
Lepore, author of the new book We the People: A History of the U.S. Constitution, makes her first appearance on The Daily Show proper—though she’s been a familiar presence with Stewart on the show’s companion podcast The Weekly Show, logging four visits over the past two years.
From Tuesday through Thursday, senior correspondent Ronny Chieng will host the show. This will mark Chieng’s fifth week behind the desk in 2025, following his last stint the week of July 8.
On Tuesday night, Chieng will welcome comedian Cristela Alonzo, whose new standup special, Upper Classy, premiered on Netflix last week. Wednesday brings filmmaker Benny Safdie to the desk to discuss The Smashing Machine, his MMA drama starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt. And on Thursday, Chieng will close out his week with author Kevin Nguyen, whose novel My Documents imagines Vietnamese Americans imprisoned following a terrorist attack.
The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central, and is available to stream next day on Paramount+.
