When he learned he had high cholesterol and high blood pressure in his 40s, former O-Town star Ashley Parker Angel sought a second opinion. Now he’s launching a medical-grade supplement company with a world-renowned cardiologist.

Ashley Parker Angel rose to fame as a member of O-Town and has gone on to sell 10 million records, had a number one song and two hit TV shows, and played Madison Square Garden. Despite all of that, the money he actually took home was a fraction of what most people would assume.

“People think you’re set for life,” he told me. “That’s actually not the case for most artists. It’s kind of unbelievable how many millions we generated for other people.”

He signed what his own lawyer called the worst recording contract in music history. 

After O-Town, he went solo. After a solo career, he pivoted to Broadway, landing the lead in Hairspray and then starring as Prince Fiyero in Wicked, performing over 2,000 shows. But through all of it, one realization kept growing.

“I had no control,” he said. “I signed another recording contract that was terrible. I realized it’s show business. And a lot of young stars are taken advantage of.”

So he decided to build something he actually owned.

Building a Healthy Business

During his Broadway years, Angel got deep into fitness, nutrition, and peak performance. He hired coaches and nutritionists. He became a certified peak performance coach during the pandemic. But despite working out and eating well, Angel had high cholesterol and high blood pressure. A doctor recommended statin drugs. But he was in his early 40s and refused. “I’m so young,” he reasoned. “I wanted to find a way to do it naturally.”
