Mike and Zara Tindall share the most adorable set of nicknames for one another, the former rugby player revealed this month

Zara and Mike Tindall are known as some of the most down-to-earth, fun-loving members of the royal family. With their love of sports and their commitment to a good time, the Tindalls have often been described as the ‘glue’ that holds the House of Windsor together in trying times. As such, royal watchers are always keen to hear just how they do it. Fortunately, Princess Anne’s daughter and her husband are also more open than most with the press, and recently, Mike gave a sweet insight into family life at Gatcombe.
When asked whether or not they have any pet names for one another, the former England rugby player told Woman & Home that ‘if it’s nicknames, it’s Z and Mikey-T.’ They also, he revealed, call each other ‘Munchkin’.
It’s another sign of how important fun is to the Tindall household, with Mike also opening up about how he and Zara balance raising their children – Mia, 12, Lena, seven, and Lucas, five – with finding time for each other. It can be ‘stressful’ keeping on top of everything, he told the outlet. ‘You’re trying to do everything all at once, and that’s hard. But you find a way. The whole point is to find a way and get it done while having fun at the same time. That’s what we try to do anyway,’ he said, adding, ‘You’ve always got to see the funny side!’
