Cassie Ventura has put the past behind her.
One year after testifying in the criminal case of ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs, Cassie, 39, has left the United States and is living a quiet life out of the spotlight.
“Cassie is doing really well and prefers a low-key life out of the spotlight now,” Us Weekly reported on Wednesday, June 3.
The update comes one day after news of the singer’s move was revealed in court documents. According to TMZ, Cassie filed a court declaration on Monday, June 1, in her legal battle against male escort Clayton Howard, claiming she “[resides] outside of the United States.”
“I do not intend to move back to the United States,” she added, without revealing where she currently lives. However, the “Me & U” artist noted that court hearings in New York were favorable to Los Angeles due to her location.

Cassie, who wed personal trainer Alex Fine in 2019 and shares three kids with him, moved out of the spotlight after settling a sexual assault and human trafficking lawsuit against the disgraced rapper, 56, for $20 million.
“Just so we’re clear, a decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing,” Combs’ lawyer told TMZ in November 2023.
Two years later, Cassie would take the stand to testify in Combs’ criminal trial. He was ultimately sentenced to 50 months in federal prison after being convicted of two counts of the Mann Act for transporting women across state lines for prostitution.
