The State Prosecutor’s Office has filed an indictment in the Haifa District Court against Isa Maad, an 18-year-old resident of Akko, for preparing a terrorist act of murder with aggravating circumstances, contact with a foreign agent and more – as part of an attempt to carry out an attack against IDF soldiers on a bus. According to the indictment, in the past year Maad began supporting the terrorist organization ISIS and learned how to produce explosive devices through online guides. Against the backdrop of his support for terrorist organizations, the defendant planned to carry out an attack at a bus station near the Akko train station in the name of the organization. A request for his detention until the end of proceedings has been submitted.
