Meghan Markle’s estranged father is safe and sound — despite what his other daughter, Samantha, claimed.

Thomas Markle Sr. shut down Samantha’s report that he was “trapped” on the 19th floor of a building in the Philippines and unable to walk down the stairs following the 6.9-magnitude earthquake there on Monday, September 29.

“The epicenter was 100 miles from here,” the retired Hollywood lighting director, who said he was finalizing plans to move to Southeast Asia from Mexico, told TMZ.

“I’m currently sitting on the couch in my hotel room, with my feet kicked up and watching Charlie Chan movies,” Thomas, 81, continued. I’m quite comfortable.”

As Star previously reported, Samantha, 60, claimed that her father was “stuck” following the disaster in an X post on Tuesday, September 30, adding, “Shame on my disgusting evil f***ing sister forever for putting our father in this position.”

But Thomas told TMZ that he hasn’t even spoken to Samantha — or the Duchess of Sussex, for that matter.
