It’s taken plenty of key contributions for Australia to be on the brink of reaching the T20 World Cup final four, which they may almost clinch with a win over Pakistan in their upcoming fixture, but according to head coach Shelley Nitschke, the work of Georgia Wareham in both major disciplines might be going a little under the radar.
The 27-year-old smashed 32 off 22 against South Africa, before backing up that hard-hitting work with a 41 off 18 balls against the Netherlands. She didn’t need to bat against Bangladesh.
The leg-spinner has also taken a combined four wickets at the T20 World Cup, including 3/13 off 2.4 overs against South Africa.
