Listen, when someone starts talking in the middle of a song, you know it’s serious. But there’s no need to call up the Kidney Now! cavalry, because everything went according to plan. Daryl Hall, at 79 years old, recently underwent a kidney transplant and is recovering nicely. The musician shared his health update across various social-media platforms and didn’t specify any reason for the procedure. “I thought you should know that I recently received a kidney transplant from a very kind and generous living donor,” Hall wrote. “It happened a couple of weeks ago and I’m already starting to feel better. It was, according to my doctors, a complete success!” Hall, who last toured in 2025, added that he should “be back to normal in a few months” and will resume filming his popular Daryl’s House web series. Now for the cheeky question: How many kidneys does John Oates currently have in his lower back? Was he the donor? Well, given the duo’s recent legal back-and-forth over their business partnership, which has been resolved, probably not. But who knows how out of touch they are.
