Back in the late 1950s, Elvis Presley and Pat Boone ruled as the nation’s two biggest pop stars. Presley electrified audiences with his suggestive hip-swiveling, long sideburns, and leather jackets. In stark contrast, Boone captured the All-American crowd with his squeaky-clean image, cardigans, and signature white buck shoes. Both parlayed their success into Hollywood careers—Presley dominating musical comedies, and Boone starring in studio features like the sci-fi classic Journey to the Center of the Earth. Later in life, Presley redefined the Las Vegas residency era, while Boone transitioned into a prolific career in Christian gospel music and conservative media.
Despite their differences, the Tennessee natives were close friends, with Presley often visiting Boone at his Beverly Hills home. The crooner bought the Colonial Revival residence for his late wife, Shirley, and their four daughters in 1960 for just $159,000. He first tried to sell the property in 2014, quietly shopping it as a private pocket listing before publicly offering it up for $18.5 million and ultimately withdrawing it. Now, after 66 years of family ownership, it has officially returned to the market for nearly $23 million, listed by Lea Porter of The Beverly Hills Estates.
There are formal living and dining rooms.

Completed in the late 1930s—and positioned as a renovation or development project—the two-story white stucco and shingle-roof structure sits behind gates and hedges on over an acre at the iconic corner of Beverly Drive and Sunset Boulevard, steps from the Beverly Hills Hotel. A total of six bedrooms and eight bathrooms are distributed across roughly 7,000 square feet.
A carved stone portico entrance leads into a classic central hallway featuring a curving timber staircase, with formal living and dining rooms on either side. From there, a retro kitchen with a breakfast banquette transitions to a recreation room containing a wet bar, a dining area, and a pool table. A wood-paneled music room is lined with bookshelves, and a home office comes with a fireplace, while an upstairs primary suite has a spacious mirrored dressing area alongside dual baths.
A pool table in the recreation room is included in the sale of the house.

Outdoors, a large rectangular swimming pool bordered by red bricks and a flagstone terrace anchors a sprawling backyard filled with flat lawns and towering trees, and topping it all off is a separate guesthouse, plus a basketball court next to an attached three-car garage.
Boone, 92, told Mansion Global he has decided it’s finally time to downsize. “I would probably do better in a smaller place here,” he said. “I don’t need a place this big, but I love it, and I still walk around and enjoy it all.”
