In some unfortunate relationship news, it looks like Courteney Cox and her longtime partner Johnny McDaid of Snow Patrol have broken up. The Daily Mail was the first to report that Cox and McDaid have decided to go their separate ways after more than ten years together, but the split seems to be extremely amicable.
The Mail quoted an unnamed friend of McDaid, who said the musician, “speaks incredibly highly of Courteney.” According to the friend, “They had a very deep relationship and they remain extremely amicable. They are great friends and care about each other very much.” The breakup was reportedly not “ugly,” they were just living “different lives.”
Cox and McDaid started dating in 2013, and were briefly engaged before breaking up and then getting back together in 2016. The two stayed together since then — including occasional double dates with Jennifer Aniston. Unfortunately, some good things must come to an end.
