Israel’s Shin Bet security service has stepped up efforts in recent weeks to recruit activists involved in protests against the government, offering some financial incentives and other benefits in exchange for information on planned demonstrations and right-wing counterprotesters, according to activist accounts and information obtained by Haaretz.
