From the sportswear takeover to out-of-this world collaborations and innovative silhouettes, men’s footwear was a definitive highlight during an overall uneven men’s season in Paris.
Hot shoes of the moment continue to include flip-flops — which were perfect for the heatwave that took over Paris fashion week — slip-on styles, oversized boots and even ballet flats. Here, FN takes a look at the top men’s shoe moments from the French capital for spring/summer 2027.
Saint Laurent’s Clear Dress Shoes

Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vacarrello told WWD this season that he wanted to “even the playing field” this season with his new footwear creation — the clear dress shoe for men. The designer said with a grin, “I asked myself: ‘Why torture women with plastic shoes, but not men?’”
The designer insisted the work, titled “Cloud #07145,” was more than a backdrop, feeding his narrative about restraint as a form of seduction. In an unexpected parallel, long, snout-nosed dress shoes, some transparent, were clouded with perspiration amid a Paris heat wave.
Rick Owens x Adidas

A decade after their first run together, Rick Owens and Adidas are back — and at his spring 2027 menswear show, the standout was a black technical running shoe that appeared on at least one model, described by Owens as his first high-performance running silhouette for the brand.
The floppy ankle-boot-like style was built on a Megaride sole, with its slouched silhouette pulling away from the rigid armor Owens has favored in past seasons. The boot sinches and folds in on itself. White Three Stripes branding stretches across the scrunched black upper, traveling from one side panel to the other.
Overall, Adidas made huge waves during the week, with an immersive Stan Smith installation, new Pharrell Jellyfish style and more.

One thing is for sure: Christian Louboutin and Jaden Smith know how to get people talking.
For his second season at Louboutin, the creative director set out to embrace multiple generations with his sophomore collection as men’s creative director of Christian Louboutin. He spiked the presentation with plenty of fantasy, including square-toe lace-ups with all five digits demarcated in relief; a pair of zany red Sasquatch-esque slip-ons, and a black leather quiver filled with leather arrows.
“This is really about me wanting to tell stories, and to evoke childlike wonder in people’s minds,” Smith said about the latter accessory. “There’s a lot of characters in some of my favorite movies who do archery, stories like ‘Robin Hood’ or ‘Lord of the Rings.’”

The breakfast call time worked perfectly with Jonathan Anderson’s theme for spring 2027, which offered a looser take on the “disheveled aristocrat” aesthetic he set as a baseline with his debut Dior men’s show a year ago.
And the glam thread he introduced last season is still fermenting, manifesting here with silver sequined pants, gold python shorts and “disco ball boots” inspired by the black mirror balls he sent as a show invitation. Other footwear highlights included 19th-century embroidery replicated by hand onto a classic suede lace-up, while the woven surface of boots are deliberately disheveled.
Louis Vuitton’s Skate Shoe

Pharrell Williams’ personal favorite footwear this season was both grounded and extravagant: Vuitton’s take on a classic skate shoe, named the Combi, rendered in materials including its signature Monogram canvas and a variety of exotic leathers.
Since Williams teased his red crocodile leather pair on Instagram over the weekend, the sneaker has generated much chatter online, including a comment from the official account of Vans. Williams said the design took him back two decades to his initial collaborations with Vuitton under Marc Jacobs, which prefigured the subsequent convergence of streetwear and luxury menswear. “I still feel like I can’t believe I’m here,” he marveled.
Sacai x Birkenstock

For the first time, Sacai creative director Chitose Abe teamed up with Birkenstock on a project centered around three key footwear models from the German shoe company, resulting in two new silhouettes.
The first merges Birkenstock’s first-ever sandal, the one-strap Madrid from 1963, featured with the Big Buckle, and is merged with its successor, the Arizona sandal launched in 1973 and defined by the brand’s original square buckles. The resulting style is the Aoyama 107, named after Sacai’s iconic store in Tokyo’s sophisticated Aoyama district. The second style, named Cassette 75, combines the Arizona sandal with the Boston clog, first introduced in 1976 and celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2026.
ERL Expands Shoe Offering

ERL continues to expand its footwear offering, presenting several new silhouettes. New shoe creations from designer Eli Russell Linnetz include tassel driving loafers, which arrive in cream, tan, yellow crocodile, pink, periwinkle, alongside a new take on the signature ERL Vamp in over-dyed canvas. The shoes are all washed and sun-faded to give a lived-in feel.
Another silhouette that was previewed to FN is the brand’s take on a vulcanized slip-on shoe with lots of comfort padding in the interior of the footwear model.
Willy Chavarria x Ugg

Willy Chavarria previewed his first capsule collection with Ugg featuring five footwear styles that will arrive later this year in September. Leading the runway was Romeo Beckham, model and son of David and Victoria Beckham, who debuted the new Ugg x Willy Chavarria Biker boot.
Also seen on the runway was the unisex Ugg x Willy Chavarria Guard Boot was styled with layered silk boxers and an oversized bomber jacket and the Ugg x Willy Chavarria Hotel Slipper with both models sporting that same layered look on top, mesh or long shorts on bottom, and tall white calf socks.
Celine x Reebok
Celine Men’s Spring 2027 Ready-to-Wear at Paris Men’s Fashion Week

Celine revealed its first sneaker partnership with Reebok on its men’s spring 2027 runway on the last day of Paris Men’s Fashion Week. The collection presented by creative director Michael Rider in his first men’s collection included a reinvention of Reebok‘s Freestyle sneaker, showcasing it in distressed lambskin leather in colorways included white, dark brown and black. The Freestyle sneaker was introduced in 1982, a landmark style as the first athletic shoe created especially for women.
Dries Van Noten’s Ballet Flats

While Dries Van Noten isn’t the first designer label to offer ballet flats for men, the debut from the house certainly cements the trend further in menswear. Creative director Julian Klausner’s ballerina flats offer a barely-there silhouette in leather with a string that wraps through the style and around the ankles.
Other footwear offerings seen in Klausner’s third men’s show as creative director of the Antwerp-based house include boots, naked sandals and slender lace-ups.
Givency’s Puffy Yard

Givenchy unveiled its new Puffy Yard sneaker, which blends a court sneaker and a lifestyle shoe together, with the mid top version providing a subtle vintage twist. This option delivers a more fashion-forward and dynamic interpretation of the New Yard sneaker. Crafted in puffy nappa leather, this lace-up sneaker emphasizes a cushioned silhouette with a quilted construction for a distinctive padded feel.
The French house said the shoes will arrive in a “dynamic color palette,” from timeless neutrals to vibrant tones, which is meant to create a “rainbow effect” intended to bring energy and vibrancy to the visual merchandising in store.
Greg Ross’ Giant Boots

Los Angeles-based designer Greg Ross showcased his latest range of shoes in Paris this season. Standout styles include the Drive Boot, which is made of box leather in Italy and comes in white and black colorways.
Next is the Mammoth Boot, Ross’s viral boot newly available for purchase in brown and camel suede colors. Also, don’t miss the CA Boot, which is crafted by a specialized manufacturer with an exclusive focus on fire-proof footwear designed for firefighters — the same production house behind iconic footwear for “Terminator” and “Star Wars.”
Rombaut Goes Bold

Designer Mats Rombaut continues to push the limits of his sustainability-focused footwear this season with new constructions and materials. The Belgian designer told FN that boots continue to be a best seller, but his own most-worn style is the Flat sneaker.
Standout models this season include the Ground I slip-on shoe, the Boccaccio II boot with military embroidery, and the Neo boot in Glacier white, which Rombaut noted buyers were responding well to this season.
Magliano x Diadora

After teaming up with Veja recently, Magliano is joining forces with Diadora on an updated take on the sneaker brand’s Equipe silhouette. “The daintiness of the original Equipe style hugs the sculptural Mythos sole,” Magliano said, describing the shoe as a “rough perspective” on the world of running. The tie-up also includes a slew of vintage-flecked tracksuits.
The latest collab is part of designer Luca Magliano’s new collection, “Mediterranean Gothic.” The collection had a makeshift feel, a gritty, cinematic edge and ’70s style, as the designer looked at scorching summers, and the creativity that can come from all that heat and boredom, for inspiration this season.

Pedro Andrade and Paula Kim present their second show on the official Paris menswear calendar with a collection inspired by Brazil’s festive subcultures. The brand’s most notably showcased a new collaboration with Havaianas, which featured the footwear company’s signature flip-flop with a split tabi toe in two colorways. The shoe is expected to launch in January.
The collection — which explored Brazil’s lesser-known festive subcultures and cultural traditions through fashion, craftsmanship, music, and storytelling — also introduced footwear created in partnership with French brand Phileo and a preview of an emerging relationship with Nike.
Soshiotsuki x Asics

Following the tracksuits introduced in the autumn/winter 2026 collection, Soshiotsuki continues its collaboration with Asics SportStyle, unveiling a new footwear model. The Gel-Axis FF shoes, available in four colorways, comes in two variations: one featuring leather with perforations of varying sizes, and another constructed from a high-density mesh material.
What’s more, the brand also teamed up with Sanyo Yamacho on a pair of Gurkha sandals that retain the appearance of classic dress shoes. The style is offered in three colorways: black in grained leather, and light brown and green in smooth leather.
Hed Mayner x Aro

Hed Mayner presented an updated take on Aro’s Joaneta silhouette on the runway.
For this tie-up, Mayner approached the silhouette not as a blank canvas, but as an established design with its own history and identity. “What first attracted me to the Aro shoes was their softness how flat they are and the feeling of walking almost barefoot,” Mayner said. “I wanted to add flocking to give the surface a slightly harder texture, flatter and more precise with something between a matte and shiny finish.”
