The scanner was recognized in Product Design and Industry categories from a field of more than 10,000 entries.
The Blink imaging laser scanner from FARO INSIGHT received the iF Design Award 2026 for its design, usability and role in digital reality applications.
Chosen from more than 10,000 entries from 68 countries, Blink was recognized in the Product Design and Industry categories. Introduced in 2025, the scanner is designed to help professionals capture measurable data through one-button guided workflows for 3D scans, 360° photos and facility or asset documentation.
The award reflects Blink’s workflow design and data processing approach, which support tasks such as floor plan generation and object recognition from 3D scan data.
Oliver Zweigle, FARO INSIGHT DVP of Innovation and Technology, said the award reflects the accessibility and usability of Blink.
Blink is intended for professionals with different levels of experience and supports scene and site documentation for review and decision-making.
When used with the Stream App, users can view 3D scans and registration data in real time to support site documentation workflows.
Blink will continue to receive software and workflow updates aimed at improving processing speed, scanning speed, usability and data output.
The iF Design Award, presented by the independent iF Design Foundation in Germany, has been awarded since 1954.
This year’s awards were judged by an international panel of 129 independent design experts.
