Selena Gomez embraced dark academia dressing on the set of “Only Murders in the Building” in London on Tuesday with a fall-ready look set off by knee-high boots.

Gomez’s ensemble included a pair of dark brown leather boots with a tall, flared black heel, a classic knee-high shaft and a narrow square toe with an extended sole. She paired them with tights, a miniskirt, a vest and a statement coat, continuing the aspirational fall wardrobe for which the show is known.
The long burgundy coat, featuring a white check pattern and peak lapels, added warmth to the otherwise dark earth-toned pieces in her outfit. Gomez’s gray tweed miniskirt featured wide pleating, while her stony dark crewneck vest featured gleaming buttons. As for accessories, Gomez wore Stevie Hoops Links earrings in 18-karat gold vermeil and cream enamel from Mejuri.

Gomez’s latest on-set “Only Murders in the Building” look fit with the aesthetic curated for her character Mabel Mora, who teams up with her neighbors, played by Martin Short and Steve Martin, to investigate murders. While filming the fifth season, Gomez paired Paul Andrew Biker Boot with a gray miniskirt, black top and a black faux leather studded trench coat from A.W.A.K.E. Mode. Another look from the season five set featured brown crocodile-embossed Paris Texas boots worn with a brown and white gingham vest by Veronica Beard, a caramel leather skirt from Alice + Olivia, a dark brown A.L.C. blazer and a cream leather trenchcoat.
Dana Covarrubias, the costume designer for “Only Murders in the Building,” has received four Emmy nominations for her work on the Hulu show and also counts titles like “Bupkis” among her credits.
