Zendaya declared the beginning of her “demonic beauty era” at the “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” premiere in Los Angeles on Monday night, teasing what could be an evil storyline for her character, MJ, in the new film.

A dark — arguably venomous — contrast to the delicate, ethereal nature of her glam for “The Odyssey” press run, the formidable look consisted of wet, stringy hair and gelled bangs that snaked down her forehead like a broken web.

With the direction of artist Ursula Stephen, the rest of her inky black hair was combed in a sticky ponytail that sat on the nape of her neck. Stephen, the same architect behind the “Euphoria” star’s roughly cut micro bangs, used Moroccanoil products, Tymo Beauty styling tools and a Bur Bur brush to smooth her glossy ends. The result, while similar to wet aesthetics she’s brought to the red carpet recently, unlocked a new level of avant-garde prowess, one which is typically reserved for editorial shoots and conceptual runway shows.

Her makeup, imagined by Ernesto Casillas, embellished this. Using an arsenal of Prada Beauty, Casillas colored Zendaya’s eyes in a melting pot of charcoal, tapioca, teal and bronze hues that mingled on her lids and in her waterline. The dark pool of shadow was bound by spider-leg lash extensions and lightly filled brows.

Meanwhile, her cheekbones were glazed and sculpted over cool-toned contour, and her lips were wrapped in a nude-taupe hue. The makeup did well to complement her sculptural Ashi Studio gown and webbed Louboutins, styled by Law Roach, without stealing the spotlight.

Prada Beauty’s Dimensions Eyeshadow in Profusion and Primula, Pradalines Durable Gliding Eye Pencil in Nero and Ember and Touch Cream to Powder Blush in Cherry were among the key products used.
