Donald Trump just turned 80 years old, he has a terrible diet, he doesn’t believe in exercise, and he has an extremely stressful job known for rapidly aging anyone who takes it on. And yet, if you scrolled through Truth Social yesterday, you might have noticed the president looks younger and fitter than he has in years.
Just take a look at this image Trump posted on Sunday of himself escorting golf legend Gary Player around Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey:
So what’s Trump’s secret? New hairstyle? Experimental weight-loss drug? That weird sauerkraut diet RFK Jr. has the whole Cabinet hooked on?
Nope! Turns out the president (or perhaps Natalie Harp) gave himself an AI-generated makeover and assumed no one would notice. But, of course, the actual photo from Trump’s golf excursion, which was taken by freelance photographer Andrew Mordzynski and published on Getty Images, surfaced online in no time.
In the original, unedited photo, Trump looks pasty, bleary-eyed, paunchy, and generally worse than his 90-year-old pal. In the image he posted to Truth Social, he appears decades younger, slimmer, and tanned. While Player didn’t really get any enhancement, the whole image has a golden glow, as if somebody fed the original into an AI chatbot with the instruction, “Give the guy on the right a glow-up.”

A large portion of the president’s Truth Social feed falls under the category of “AI slop featuring Donald Trump.” But it’s usually obvious those images are computer-generated, as everyone knows Trump hasn’t captured a sexy alien or held a séance with the ghosts of Abe Lincoln and George Washington. This is the only time Trump has tried to pass off an AI-enhanced image as a real photo taken just hours earlier — or is it? Now it’s even harder to trust anything Trump posts. Is this image he shared this morning proof that he can, actually, swing a golf club? Un-enhanced pics from a third party or it didn’t happen!
