Made in Korea Season 2 release date: When will Hyun Bin return as Baek Kitae?

Made in Korea Season 2 is premiering on September 2, 2026. After the first two episodes drop on premiere day, they will be followed by two episodic drops every Wednesday. The first season of the Disney+ series can be streamed in India on JioHotstar, which is most likely where Indian viewers will get to watch Made in Korea 2 as well. What is the story of Made in Korea Season 2?

The first season of Made in Korea followed Baek Kitae (Hyun Bin), a KCIA (Korean Central Intelligence Agency) operative driven by his ambition for wealth and power, and Jang Geonyoung (Jung Woo Sung), a principled, tenacious prosecutor who sacrifices everything to stop the former’s greed from taking root. They’re eventually forced to confront a monumental event in South Korea’s history in the 1970s. Made in Korea Season 2 takes place nine years after the OG season’s tense finale, with Baek Kitae now at the peak of power, Geonyoung preparing for a counterattack, and Baek Kihyun (Woo Do Hwan) pursuing a different path to power from his older brother Kitae. Their individual ambitions and escalating conflict spiral out of control and shake things up, creating an irreversible rift.

In the captivating first look at the second season, we see Kitae being hunted down by Geonyoung as their tense reunion, almost a decade in the making, ends with an ultimatum: “Choose which side you’re on.” Kitae and Kihyun, too, turn their blades on each other due to a conflict of interest. “This is war now. It won’t end until one side dies,” come the ominous words by Kitae at the end of the teaser, where ambitions, choices and betrayals foreshadow a fateful showdown that won’t just determine the fate of the characters but the entire nation too.
