The next edition of the T20 World Cup isn’t too far away either, with Pakistan set to host the 20-over showcase in 2028 for the first time with the event scheduled to feature 12 teams yet again following the recent success with that number of sides in England and Wales.

And Perry has no plans on slowing down any time soon, with the experienced all-rounder suggesting she will continue to play at the top level while she is still at the peak of her powers and enjoying the game.

“I really just love the challenge of trying to get better,” she said. 

“I find that really fulfilling, and I guess like cricket is the outlet for me at the moment.

“I guess why I still wake up every day wanting to go to training and want to get better and be challenged in a new way, I can’t really fathom walking away from it.”
