The City University of New York (CUNY) has yielded to demands from pro-Palestinian activists on campus and will disclose documents detailing its investments and contracts with 30 companies operating in Israel, including Lockheed Martin and Dell. This comes from a settlement agreement signed in state court. The settlement was reached following a lawsuit filed by the New York Civil Liberties Union (NYCLU), after the institution’s administration initially refused to provide the information, citing trade secrets. Under the settlement, the university will provide reports on its holdings in stocks and bonds since 2020, drop the appeal it filed and pay $20,000 for attorney fees.
