Jason Kelce probably thought that he was captain of his girl-dad household, but Taylor Swift and his daughters: Wyatt, 6, Ellie, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finnley, 16 months, appear to be steering the ship.
Besides being the cool aunt, Swift is also a cat mom to Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button, and that’s where Jason might be losing ground. It was Jason’s wife Kylie Kelce who spilled the tea about the household battle.

“I grew up in a cat-dog house. Both at all times,” Kylie revealed on the August 20 episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast. “And now our kids have influences in their life — Aunt Taylor is a big one — where they get to be around cats.”
“And then we go home, and there are no cats, and they’re like, ‘But we want cats.’ … I’m like, ‘Jason, I need you to lock in here,” Kylie continued. “There is cat need in this house.'”

In September 2024, on his New Heights podcast with his younger brother Travis Kelce, Jason shared his dislike for cats.
“You know what my latest plan to divert our family from getting a cat is? I just keep telling our girls that cats are poisonous,” he joked.
“Why the f— would you tell them that?” asked Travis.
“… So that they don’t want cats,” explained Jason. “And I don’t have to deal with having a cat and make them terrified. I’ve gotta get these kids on my side; otherwise I’m in a sinking ship.”
It’s sounds like his plan isn’t working because Aunt Taylor is in on the plan with her nieces.
“As soon as I got the kids around the cats, it was my goal to prove to them that they weren’t poisonous,” she shared during her 2025 appearance on New Heights. “There’s no better way to prove that than to just hand them Benjamin, my ragdoll cat who lets humans hold him like he’s a baby.”
With Swift firmly in the #TeamCat corner, Jason is fighting a losing battle, especially now that his daughters have an aunt working the feline angle. Between the pop star’s famously cuddly cats and the four girls, it’s only a matter of time before the retired NFL star’s “sinking ship” finally goes under — and a furry new face arrives in the Kelce household.
