Following Newcastle’s impressive 2-2 draw with Liverpool, new manager Jaissle was pressed on Hall’s future. When United legend Peter Schmeichel asked if the full-back could head to Old Trafford, the German boss was emphatic.
“No chance! No chance!” Jaissle declared, quickly shutting down the prospect of a late summer sale.
However, the 38-year-old did acknowledge that Newcastle’s transfer business is far from finished ahead of the September 3 deadline. Speaking to Sky Sports about potential arrivals, he noted that outgoings could still dictate their final moves.
“I would love to answer that with a clear number, but it’s depending also if players are leaving as well,” Jaissle explained. “For sure, there will be adjustments made, the needs are clear. The management knows about the needs and we are all aligned. We will use the remaining time in the best possible way, but also we trust the players who are already here.”
