Egypt launches its latest massive relief campaign for Gaza





On Monday, the Egyptian Red Crescent dispatched its 268th aid convoy, which has been officially named “Zad Al-Izza… From Egypt to Gaza”.


According to Egypt Today, this massive initiative reflects the organization’s active “role as a national mechanism for coordinating and delivering humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people”.


The convoy is part of a continuous effort by Egypt to alleviate the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the neighboring region.




















Essential food and fuel from Egypt to Gaza





The newly dispatched convoy is carrying a substantial amount of diverse humanitarian resources designed to meet urgent survival needs.

Among the cargo are more than 62,500 food baskets and approximately 463 tons of critical relief supplies, medicines, and medical equipment.


Additionally, the shipment contains over 1,874 tons of petroleum products, which are vital for operating hospitals and vital facilities throughout the Gaza Strip.

To ensure that these supplies reach those in need, the Egyptian Red Crescent has reportedly remained active at the border “since the beginning of the crisis”.


The organization has dedicated significant resources to “maintaining its logistical centers and intensifying its efforts to prepare and deliver” aid.


Over the course of this crisis, the total amount of aid delivered has surpassed one million tons, supported by the dedicated work of over 75,000 volunteers who have participated in the operations.
