*Warning – contains full spoilers for all eight episodes of The Gentlemen season 2.*

All episodes of The Gentlemen season 2 are available to stream now, and for those who have already made their way to the end, they will know that things end on a particularly dark and grisly note.

The final sequence of season 2 dramatically sets up more stories for Theo James‘s Eddie, as he continues on his path into the criminal underworld, led by Kaya Scodelario’s Susie Glass and Ray Winstone’s Bobby.

But will we get to see those further stories in a season 3, when could we expect new episodes to arrive and who can we expect to return from the cast of season 2?

There will! In fact, The Gentlemen was renewed for a third season before the second had even been released.

When the renewal was announced in August 2026, creator Guy Ritchie said in a statement: “The ambition of The Gentlemen has accelerated, the world has expanded and the consequences carry weight. A third season felt inevitable, and I’m looking forward to pushing the boundaries of it further.”

We don’t yet know when The Gentlemen season 3 will be released, but there are positive signs suggesting we won’t have to wait quite as long as we did for season 2.

The turnaround time between the first two seasons was a whopping two and a half years, but given the early renewal, it would seem likely that the wait period could be condensed.

In fact, in an interview with Radio Times, Theo James revealed that season 3 is set to start production “pretty soon”. Once filming had begun on season 2, it only two 16 months for the episodes to arrive on Netflix, suggesting that we could see season 3 as early as late 2027.

This is just speculation for now, and we will make sure to keep this page updated with any more concrete news as and when we get it.

Who will return to star in The Gentlemen season 3?Susie and Eddie looking to their right.

When The Gentlemen returns, we are expecting to see most of the central characters back, including Theo James’s Eddie, Kaya Scodelario’s Susie and definitely Daniel Ings’s Freddie after that cliffhanger.

The only major characters we aren’t expecting back are ones who perished in season 2 or whose storylines came to a close. The latter description fits the case of Tyler Conti’s Joe, who was sent off to Peru to be dealt with, while the former fate befell Pearce Quigley’s Gospel John, Hugh Bonneville’s Lord Hawthorne and, tragically, Benedetta Porcaroli’s Bella.

Then of course, there’s the question of new characters. Season 2 introduced us to a host of new crucial figures, and season 3 seems likely to do the same, with castings surely to be announced in due course.

There has been recent speculation that Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, could be joining the series in an undisclosed role, as part of a return to her acting career – however, at this point nothing has been confirmed, and the cast have been quick to pour cold water on the idea.

For now, here’s a list of the central cast members we could expect to see back in The Gentlemen season 3:
