At least 58 people were injured in an explosion at a military facility in Viacha in the La Paz region of Bolivia. The country’s defense minister said 52 of the injured are civilians and six are soldiers. According to him, the explosion occurred at a site where pyrotechnic equipment is stored: “There are initial reports of fatalities, but I want to be responsible and not report any deaths before it is confirmed,” he said. The minister added that the cause of the explosion is under investigation.
