Tuesday’s episode of Big Brother was a rollercoaster ride, featuring the first round of Diary Room nominations and Richard having to nominate face-to-face.

As the episode neared its end, viewers watched as the housemates played spin the bottle over a few drinks, but the game quickly took an unexpected turn.

Caroline posed a shocking question to Zelah about what he would do if he “had a c***”, leaving the group taken aback. Zelah managed to laugh off the comment, with the housemates quickly urging for the next spin.

When the bottle pointed at Nancy, Caroline asked her who she would choose to be intimate with in the house.

“We’re on a desert island, there’s only one person left and you might be able to make babies, to get a new civilisation. Who would you s***?” Caroline queried.

Nancy revealed that she identifies as pansexual and admitted that she finds Zelah the most attractive in the house.

“She’s a girl!” Caroline blurted out, before adding: “No you’re not!” The housemates visibly cringed at the transphobic remark, and she continued with another offensive comment about her housemate’s body.

Caroline was subsequently summoned to the Diary Room, where Big Brother reprimanded her for her offensive remarks and issued a warning, reports OK!

Viewers were shocked by Caroline’s comments, with many arguing that Big Brother should have immediately evicted her from the house.

“A formal warning is not enough for such casual transphobia. Do better @ITV#BBUK,” one viewer posted on social media, while another expressed disbelief: “i cannot believe that caroline has not been kicked out straight away for that i can’t lie #BBUK.”

Meanwhile, other Big Brother enthusiasts commended Zelah’s handling of the situation, as he later sat down to discuss matters with Caroline and seemed to accept her apology.

“The way my jaw hit the FLOOR. Zelah is fully my winner for the way he handled that #BBUK,” one fan declared.

Another added: “The grace Zelah has shown is off the scale, but I really hope he doesn’t feel like he HAS to behave like that given the situation and climate. Grim. #bbuk.”
