LARIMER COUNTY, Colo — An injured hiker was airlifted to a hospital Sunday afternoon after an incident with a bull moose in Larimer County, according to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.
LCSO officials and several area partners responded to the report near Tuscarora Way and Ottawa Way, near the Crystal Lake and Red Feather Lakes areas, LCSO told 9NEWS in an email.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers are investigating the incident that left the hiker seriously injured.
“There does not seem to be anything that prompted the incident or aggressive behavior from the moose and was likely an unfortunate circumstance of wrong place wrong time,” the agency said.
