Randy Mazenc and his wife were in the backyard of their home in Saskatoon’s Buena Vista neighbourhood last month when something in the sky caught their eye.
They recognized the birds that circled above as the same ones they used to see on their southern Saskatchewan farm an hour south of Regina.
“My wife looks up and says ‘What is that up there? It looks kind of like those big birds we used to see.’ And so we grabbed our binoculars and a camera and sure enough, that’s what it was.”
