When it was released back in 2022, the one bummer about Dan Trachtenberg’s Prey is that it was a straight-to-Hulu release rather than a theatrical release, with many fans still begging to be able to experience the film up on the big screen. And it looks like Disney is finally answering those calls on the road to Trachtenberg’s Predator: Badlands coming to theaters.
Prey and this year’s brand new movie Predator: Badlands will play in AMC Theatres as a special Predator Double Feature on November 5, Bloody Disgusting has learned this week.
It’s interesting to note that this Double Feature is taking place two days before Predator: Badlands releases wide November 7, giving you the chance to see the new movie early!
The AMC Theatres website previews, “On Wednesday, November 5th fans have the chance to see both Prey & Predator Badlands on the big-screen by attending the Double Feature.”
First up, Prey is set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago. It is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior who has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains. So when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. AMC has been advised that this film contains sequences with flashing lights that may affect photosensitive viewers. And then Predator: Badlands is set in the future on a remote planet, where a young Predator, outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary.
