EXCLUSIVE: Taron Egerton is set to star in the comedy thriller Everybody Wants To F*ck Me with Jessica Henwick also on board to co-star. The film is a Studiocanal, LuckyChap, Film4 and Parkville Pictures co-production and is set in London and the world of modern dating. The film will be directed by Jonathan Schey from a script he also wrote.
The film is set to shoot in London next month with Studiocanal launching worldwide sales at AFM releasing theatrically in their territories the UK, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Benelux & Poland. Kharmel Cochrane is casting the movie.
Studiocanal and Film4 are fully fulling financing the pic with Ron Halpern, Joe Naftalin and Isobel Carter overseeing for Studiocanal. Farhana Bhula and David Kimbangi oversee for Film4. Film4 developed the script.
Sundance Award winner Parkville Pictures and Academy Award winner LuckyChap are producing the film together. Cecilia Frugiuele and Olivier Kaempfer will produce for Parkville Pictures.
Egerton has had himself a busy year and was last seen in Lionsgate’s independent feature She Rides Shotgun in which he starred and produced. Prior to that, he also had the Apple TV+ series Smoke from the team by his other hit Apple series Black Bird. He also had the hit Netflix thriller Carry On.
He will next be seen starring in Baltasar Kormákur’s survival thriller Apex for Netflix, alongside Charlize Theron.Â
Henwick will next appear in A24 and Studiocanl revenge-thriller Huntington opposite Glen Powell and Margaret Qualley. Henwick also joined Apple TV+’s post-apocalyptic series Silo, making her debut at the end of season 2 and becoming a series regular in Season 3 as Helen, an adept journalist who is investigating the truth behind the construction of the silo. She recently wrapped production on both Netflix’s Vladimir opposite Rachel Weisz and Leo Woodall and BBC Films/Hulu’s The Roots Manoeuvre for writer/director Raine Allen-Miller.Â
Studiocanal is currently in post-production on Pressure from Anthony Maras starring Brendan Fraser and Andrew Scott and the Glen Powell currently going by the working title Huntington.
